Proverbs 10:4 speaks to us about serving: ‘Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth’. The saying that ‘many hands make light work’ is of course true for any organisation, but for the Church it is central to its flourishing. For our Church to continue to grow and flourish, it needs everyone to chip in. But offering ourselves in God’s service brings many personal spiritual benefits too. Christianity is a faith based on the service of others. When we serve, it helps us to forget about our own woes as we redirect energy towards others. When that service is toward God, or in the name of God, then it also helps us feel closer to him. If you would like to get more involved at St Mary Magdalene Geddington or St Mary the Virgin Weekley, then we would love to hear from you. Just send an email to email@example.com. We need your help and support.

LAY DEACONS, LAY SUB DEACONS, ALTAR SERVERS, READERS, INTERCESSORS, SIDESPEOPLE…
We are very grateful to those who give of their time to undertake roles in services. Their service to our church ensures that our worship remains dignified and full of reverence. Without our servers our worship would become bland and meaningless. We always need more servers. If you can help, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Beautiful music enhances our worship, so we are always on the lookout for additional members to our choir. We do not expect you to attend every Sunday. We only ask that you attend a couple of times a month. Rehearsals are on a Thursday evening, but we are very flexible about attendance here too. We would love to significantly increase our choir numbers, so please do give it some thought. If you’d like to find out more, please contact Geddingtonweekly@gmail.com
